Daniela de Souza Mendez

Daniela is Country Manager of IE Business School in Brazil, which is globally recognized as one of the world’s top ranking business schools. Prior to joining IE Daniela worked internationally in Brazil, Spain and the UK for large organizations with a worldwide presence. Daniela is also Founder and Director of the NGO CDI Spain. CDI Spain (cdiespana.org) is an international NGO for Digital Inclusion. The NGO CDI was founded in Brazil in 1995 and has a presence in 12 countries worldwide with a community of more than 1.45 million people.

As project manager, Daniela managed the integration of Sovereign’s Bank (US) and Alliance & Leicester Bank (UK) with Santander Bank and worked in various process redesigns and system integration projects in companies like Airbus and Atech (Embraer Group Company).

Daniela has completed an Executive MBA program offered by IE Business School. Daniela is co-author of the book “The Bottom of the Pyramid – Inclusive Business Opportunities for the Majority”.

Daniela has been awarded the Prince of Spain Foundation Award from the Forum Impulsa 2011 for Young Entrepreneurs and has been awarded for being one of ten outstanding Young Social Entrepreneurs in 2011 by the Madrid European University and International Youth Foundation.
