IE Instituto de Empresa, No. 12 worldwide in the Wall Street Journal 2005 MBA Ranking
Madrid, September 21, 2005. IE Instituto de Empresa Business School has achieved 12th position worldwide in the Wall Street Journal‘s 2005 Ranking of MBA Programmes, based on recruiters’ opinions.
The authors of the ranking underscore the high score IE obtained this year in the field of career services and the return on investment of recruiting initiatives launched by IE. This acheivement further consolidates IE’s position as on of the world’s leading business schools. The Wall Street Journal’s ranking is based on the opinion of some 3,200 recruiters, who have evaluated parameters like quality, international projection, and the degree of diversity of the programmes. Other key criteria include academic excellence of the faculty, graduates’ leadership potential and management skills, and the work carried out by the school’s careers department. The authors also point this year to the attraction of one-year MBA programmes in Europe as a highly attractive alternative to two-year MBAs, given that they reduce participants’ professional downtime. Instituto de Empresa offers one-year programmes, including the recently launched Global Communities MBA (GCMBA). This new programme permits participants to combine their master programme with professional responsibilities, and can be taken over the course of 12, 18 or 24 months. The GCMBA comprises asynchronous online sessions and live videoconference sessions that cover program content in depth and integrate participants into Instituto de Empresa’s business communities and networks.
